Success Story: Charlie Johnson
ESN is proud to recognize our client and avid cyclist, Charlie Johnson, on his recent racing accomplishments! In 2019, he began focusing his training on two “A” races, the TX State Championship and the USA “Masters” National Championship. Having raced both races in the past with average results, he set his goals in 2019 on improving significantly in both races. The TX State Championship is a race against the clock for a 20K time trial, while the USA “Masters” National Championship is double that distance for a 40K time trial. All his training, both on and off the bike in the last year, has been focused on doing his very best in both of those races.
He did his best by finishing with his PR (personal record) 20K time and placing on the podium with an incredible 2nd place finish in his age group, just 3 seconds from 1st place. EXCELLENT! Charlie then traveled to Colorado Springs two weeks early to acclimate to the altitude for the USA “Masters” National Championship and his hard work and dedication paid off with another PR in the 40K and placing 12th in the nation overall.
